The story is complicated but worth every effort to understand.

Yes... thank you for restating what I said in my exact words. I needed to see it again from another person's post.

I love this scene. The absolute lack of concern and nonchalance Kain has here is legendary

Hahaha I've never seen this until now, it's pretty funny though. They need to bring these guys back. Jump to about 2m40s

Definitely watch this if you are a fan of the series. I love how many questions Kain asks, and Raziel's lines between 3:30-4:00 are priceless

I ever play a series with characters as convincing

I understand that you and the other similar accounts around here are some form of spambot, but I must wonder what that weird image you affix to all of your posts is for...

I still consider beating legacy of kain and Xenogears on the ps1 to be two of my greatest triumphs for my younger years. In fact I still haven't run into anyone in real life that has beat either. Legacy of Kain was awesome, I particularly liked throwing fence posts from a distance to impale and insta-kill vampires. Throwing the force ball was really cool too, not too many games had gameplay like that.

You must be talking about Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain. You should definitely also play Soul Reaver if you enjoyed the story.

He's talkin about soul reaver

Ah you're right. The ball of telekinetic energy is what he's referring to there, it's been perhaps ~10 years since I played the title so I don't remember throwing fence posts

What threw me off is "Legacy of Kain". I've only heard of the original Blood Omen being called by that name alone

I just purchased the 3 game pack on Steam and BO1 on PSN. I still have Blood Omen 2 for Xbox so I don't need to repurchase that

Oh, sweet Jesus have mercy!
The dumber people think you are, the more surprised they're going to be when you kill them.

if it gets developed it will be by Eidos. Square Japan teams can't even make a decent Jrpg then how are they going to make a decent western game? And despite what people say I thought that Deus Ex HR was a really good game.

Crystal Dynamics will develop it yeah, but Square Enix taking the helm as to which games are released when (I'm sure they can assert that control over CD) is what is scary

Human Revolution was a great game.

We should clear up one thing though, Eidos Montreal wouldn't develop the title, CD would. Unless there was a deliberate change of development studio

if this gets remade, with music, writing and VA intact ima fkn faint

A soul reaver remake, not a sequel, not a spin off, not a reboot, a REMAKE for current or next gen systems would be the greatest gaming gift i can ever envision.

Not Blood Omen

Not Soul Reaver 2

Not Defiance

Soul. Reaver. 1. With all the glyphs, absorbed abilities and weapons included

I highly doubt they will bother with a remake.

It will be a reboot or sequel - and I am totally, totally fine with either. As long as they use the same voice cast. No Simon Templeman or Michael Bell? No sale

Yeah it wouldn't be the same without them but I wouldn't know who they could choose to play the elder god's voice, Tony Jay had a powerful voice. Also going by defiance's ending if this were to be a soul reaver game it would have to be a reboot unless they explain some way to release raziel from the sword in a sequel

Losing Tony Jay definitely sucks. But honestly, I'd be far more upset if Raziel or Kain were unable to reclaim their roles. I wouldn't find it impossible that they would make a reboot that forgoes the Elder God altogether as some show of respect to Tony Jay
