Darksiders and Other THQ Franchises Not Dead

Like some of you guys know tomorrow THQ assets will be sold, here are some of them:

Darksiders series
Saint's row series
South park game
Metro series
Destroy all humans series 

Who do you think should buy them? i think ubisoft should buy saint's row and darksiders

Shame about Metro, hopefully it will go to someone good who will take care of it. Or maybe even the company developing the newest metro right now will acquire it.


Maybe Destroy All Humans will finally make a come back. I missed that game, defined my early teen years. 

Aside from Darksiders and Metro the rest of those IPs can be flushed down the drain for all I care.

Not Ubisoft for Darksiders... Ubisoft buys rights to games and if they did not create them they burry them most times...




I hope some one good picks up darksiders... someone that will go after the development team behind it too

Why does no one care about Metro: Last Light? That game looked amazing...

I have high hopes for the South Park game. So much potential.

Hopefully someone good gets South Park and Darksiders. I don't really care too much about Metro and Saints but they're decent IP so I'd hate to see those fall into the wrong hands too. 


Destroy All Humans doesn't matter to me since I never played one.

EA will buy them all.

Well the assets will be sold to either of 2 groups of publishers:


A) Those who are looking for a quick ZOMG AAAA title that sells gazillions and if it sells 1 copy less of the gazillions you can start pretending that IP and/or studio never existed (EA, Activicion, Ubisoft)


B) Those who are looking to expand their portfolio with more realistic expectations that will devote more money and care than the previously stated group (2K, Warner, Sega)


what I am unfortunately more afraid of is if they buyers only buys the IPs and leave the studios to die 

 
 

Someone decent better buy the South Park rights, that game looks amazing.  Wouldn't mind seeing some DLC for it either down the road.  If EA gets their hands on it though, the only DLC we'll see will be new outfits.

So Ubisoft got South Park and THQ Montreal , Crytek got homefront,  and Kock Media(owners of deep silver) got the metro franchise and volition(developers of saint's row and red faction games). No word yet on who got the darksiders and saint's row series.

I hope EA gets Saints Row.
