Okay, so 1 shooter in custody, 1 got away, apparently they got into an argument and they both pulled guns.

Awesome sauce, isn't this some wild west stuff right here. Ah Noc, you really need to get off the extreme side of things. Just ban guns in texas, and everyone under 25, and anyone requiring anger management. But this is neither here nor there. We had an ol school texas shootout.. yeeeeehhhaawwwww!!!!!!

but isn't this scale of shooting a common occurrence in the US? like shootings have been so common they don't even make the news anymore.

I'm not really extreme about this Smokey. The second amendment is pretty clear. "Shall not be infringed"

But it infringes on the First Amendment, "interfering with the right to peaceably assemble"

What are you talking about? How does me having a gun on me interfere with a peaceful assembly?

Why would I be shooting at a peaceful assembly? I'm not really sure what you are getting at here.

Well lets concentrate on two hicks shooting eachother here, and have the gun policy discussion on the other thread. I dont think people remember the wild wild west the way it was supposed to be remembered.. you know.. with all the murdering over a card game and all.

Because some crazy **** decided to shoot people, that's why. Guns are not allowed on most school properties you know. These people target areas where they will have no resistance.  It is a crime for me to carry my legally allowed concealed handgun in any school building, federal or state government building. That is the case throughout the entire country with very few exceptions.

Edit: Sorry Smokey, you posted as I was typing this.

And yet 2 people had guns, shooting at eachother and 3 others got shot. Why should the second amendment infringe on the first?

Isn't this exactly what noc wants? Everyone with guns, so everyone can shoot each other? Oh I'm sorry "defend".

But it doesn't infringe on it. I'm sure the founding fathers would have noticed that when they wrote the constitution.

Ok, I'm done.

Edit: not done

@Rage
People with guns need to follow the laws and obviously these two individuals did not.
I do not advocate guns for everyone, I do however support their right to have a gun should they choose.

Actually I believe the campus had allowed CCW, so in that school, or in schools that do allow that CCW, there would be more guns than others, one would think. I would have liked to see a video of this, two morons fighting with eachother, and then pulling out guns.

I was not aware that campus allowed CCW. It is so rare that a school does. I'm sure there is a video somewhere but it will not likely be made public.

I read somewhere that texas passed a bill or this particular college, not sure the details, but read they allowed CCW on the campus, which would actually make sense because this doesnt sound like a crazy dude going to murder a bunch of people, sounds like two yokels got pissed off and pulled their guns and went nuts, but could be wrong too, we'll see when the details get processed.
