Wearing em now. Good treble, comfortable, bass isn't annoying bull****. Wait a bit before buying it, it occasionally goes down to 50 USD.

Thinking about getting a Turtle Beach PX5... The reviews are good and it has surround sound, which is pretty awesome. I don't think it's the best one for music but i can live with that. If anyone has any experience with Turtle Beach headsets please comment.

How the hell do you get surround sound on a small enclosed area?

Not sure what you mean by that. I have tried a surround headphone before they work pretty well.

the surround sound is simulated and depending on the model it can be quite convincing. like it will provide a way to output sound so it sounds like something is behind you.

My AKG's do that and they're not advertised as surround sound.

if you are looking for good headphones do not get in-ear. get a $30 set of over-ear sonys.

I have (an older model of) these

http://www.amazon.com/Sen...OQ8/ref=dp_ob_title_ce

And I find them to be comfortable, rather light (and not bulky, which is good). Bass response is surprisingly good. Good for pretty much anything. The price right now is great. When I bought my HD228 it was double that price

Wait Turtle Beach what? I didn't realize "not too expensive" meant up to $170...in which case I'd say if you go with Sennheiser, a similar but better model is the HD 239

I'd agree with Satanas on the Sennheisers if you are spending over 100 dollars

this explains how virtual surround works.

also if you are looking to spend around 100 then sennheiser or grado would be my recommendation.

Ah, I see you're a fan of of open-air headphones. I myself have a pair of Sennheiser 598s. Battlefield Bad Company 2 is nothing short of delight with its large soundstage, but lacks a punchy bass if you're into that. Might need an amp for that. Love them, tbh. Also, Kon, headsets have a microphone. Also, are you asking what kind of headphones would be especially good for porn? lol

Those look comfortable and like they'd sound amazing. I opted for the smaller Sennheisers because I don't like the aesthetics of bulky headphones, though.

I bought the Turtle Beach PX5's about 2 months ago. They are pretty nice and work with my 360, PS3, and PC. On PC I mainly use it to game-chat and haven't heard any issues with that feature. On Xbox I used them when playing Halo 4 singleplayer, and the sound was really good. I use Preset 4 or 5 which basically pumps up all bass, treble, and voice dialogue. Haven't used them on my PS3 yet due to the funky stuff you have to do with hdmi audio and the optical out. If I wear them for an extended time (2+ hours), my neck starts to hurt, but I'm not sure if it is due to the weight of the headphones, or just that I'm not used to wearing them when I game. Overall, good headphones worth the money. Bluetooth and 7.1 are awesome, as well as the flexibility to use it with your system of choice.
