New Batman Arkham game confirmed for 2013

Time Warner’s financial statements for Q3 have confirmed a new Batman game for 2013.
Batman: Arkham City was released in 2011, and if you consider a two year development time for AAA games, it looks like its sequel will be released in 2013.
Time Warner’s CFO and chief administrative officer John K. Martin confirmed the existence of a new game during their investor call.

Mark Hamill no longer wants to do the voice for the Joker. I think that's worse news than them milking the franchise.

I'm perfectly fine with this, given that they released Arkham Asylum, and City two years apart. Hopefully this means they've been working on it since at least Late October, Early November of 2011.  I hope that they finish the side stories with Hush, Azariel, and Scarecrow. It doesn't need the Joker, unless they're doing the prequel.

VG247 own sources confirm that Rocksteady Studios is not developing this particular game. This could nod to the rumoured ‘Silver Age’ Batman prequel that was touted last year.

No, Paul Dini isn't writing the story, or involved in anyway I think he's got a schedule conflict, No Rocksteady(at least accoring to VG 24/7, no Mark Hamill. I'm hoping whoever takes over does a good job.

Yeah, AC had a great story and felt like they worked on improving things, and hopefully whoever is working on this next one does a great job.

Warner Bros. Montreal is making the next Batman Arkham game, called Arkham Origins,Game Informer has just revealed. Set before the previous game, Arkham Origins shows Batman encountering many of his villains for the first time, including Deathstroke. Warner Bros. Montreal is responsible for the Wii U port of Batman: Arkham City, taking over the series from originator Rocksteady Games. WB has brought in creative director Eric Holmes, who worked as lead designer on open-world superhero games The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction and Prototype. Batman: Arkham Origins will be released on Wii U, PS3, Xbox 360, and PC October 25. Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate will be the 3DS and Vita companion to the console release, launching the same day. Developed by Armature Studio, the game is a 2.5D Metroidvania-style action game. Armature was founded by leads from the Metroid Prime series. When this game is released, it will be Armature's first original game.

Man, I loved Arkham Asylum and Arkham City when they released. Though, I don't understand why they just don't wait until the next gen rolls in. Hopefully they'll make it a multigen title.

I don't know, they said in the video there was eight. I'm guessing Deathstroke is one of them considering he's the other part of the cover.

Yes, but it's kind of hard to tell, I mean they could do the League of Assassins, or it could be eight assassins who are from different groups.

The League of Assassins is the group founded by Ras' Al Ghul, who plays a major part in Arkham City, and so does Talia, Deathstroke was trained under Ras'. 

Batman's rogues gallery has a lot of villains, and it's harder to pinpoint other people who would be considered Assassins.

just really saw this on ign... i think kinda weak storyline 8 killers go to try kill batman lol


maybe RedHood will play a role in the game but batman assassins or DCU assassins?


theres a couple that come to mind the fearsome hand of four (idk to call them assassins but a hitman squad yes lol)


but i am more Marvel Fanboy lol but love batman and a couple others...but like i said it all depends on batman assassins from his story or DCU assassins? or maybe the Dev idea of they are killers assassins)  to me Deathstroke is the one and only out of DC
