Playstation Network Maintenance - Monday, March 04, 2013 9:27 AM ( #1 )
And here we go again! PSN maintenance again!
Does anyone know what they're doing?
They need 4 hours to fix this thing. I'm so sick of this Sony.

I'd rather be paying for Live than having to wonder whether I can play or not every single time I turn on my PS3.

Get an Xbox and pay for Live, don't make a thread to complain.

Have an Xbox, I'm loving it.
But you can't sit there in front of your screen and make an argument saying this is somehow acceptable.
And I've actually paid for my PS3 and I want to be able to use it.

The worst thing about these maintenances is that they don't specify what they do, and it rarely (read if EVER) gives us an improvement.

EDIT: Moreover this thread isn't really about the complaining, it's about us sharing info on what's up and when it's going to be back up again.

If you are already signed, you can still play online, not sure what the problem here is then.

That is true. If you were signed in before the start of the maintenance you can still play online.
But the problem is, how am I supposed to keep track of that?
No, I'm not really in to twitter. Couldn't they just put it in the info-bar at the top right corner on the XMB?

If Sony decides to do an update at their behest, probably making things more secure for us PSN users, especially after the fiasco that shut PSN down for 6 months, then I welcome it without complaint. And so should you.

Wow this is like the first time I have ever heard of this! It's like PSN has never had maintenance periods before and no-one has ever had to deal with them.

I mean it's 4 hours, I'm pretty sure you can find something else to do with your life (or even game offline).
