Electronic Arts' John Riccitiello is stepping down as chief executive officer. He submitted his resignation to EA's board of directors today. Effective March 30, former EA president and CEO Larry Probst will step in as executive chairman while the company searches for a replacement. http://www.ign.com/articl...amp;utm_source=twitter What could this mean to EA?

"We have mutually agreed that this is the right time for a leadership transition." Wonder if that's just PR talk or not. This has got to be a blow for EA in at least some regard but I'm sure they'll find someone to hold the reigns in the meantime. They don't really have any major releases in the next few months as far as I can remember so they have time to adjust. I doubt much will really change. Is this mostly to do with titles like Medal of Honor and Dead Space 3 failing though I wonder? Not to mention the whole SimCity and Mass Effect debacles among other things.
