I have been playing this game since launch. I own the pc and 360 versions. What improvements or changes would you all like to see in the next version.

1) A better squad system. The online "party" system should be smart enough to know that if you are in a party/squad with a couple of friends, you want to play WITH them. So if you try to join a quick match or find a server with a few open slots, the system should tell you that it will ahve to split you up or kick someone from the party before it tries to join that game. 2) Larger games. I know many of you have probably seen my opinion on this on other threads, but more people means more ugency, more fear and more realism (at least in numbers). The massive maps on BF3 allowed for 64 person rooms or more and the PC got that, consoles, did not. That's part of the problem on consoles was that you had maps like Caspian Border and almost all of the maps of the Armored Kill, that were WAY too big for 12 v 12 games and so you had players who had to run from their spawn for 3-4 minutes sometimes to even get to any action (if it was still there by the time they arrived lol). 3) A "SWAT" mode. No, I don't mean switching from military to law enforcement; I mean like the SWAT modes we had back in the day on older shooters, even Halo 2. I mean a mode that is more realistic, since that's what A) Battlefield has been marketed as; a more realistic shooter than COD, and B) a lot of gamers who are fans of the Battlefield franchise like the fact that it is more realistic than most shooters (at least on consoles). Have the weapons perform more like the weapons would in real life (such as an SMG would not have a chance in hell to kill a player with 2 shots to the foot when a 12ga slug took off half of the other players' face). I know that battlefield is not meant to be as realistic as ARMA (wish I had a gaming rig that was nice enough to play ARMA III when it gets here...) but I still feel like it can lean more in that direction quite a bit, while still keeping its fan base and grabbing new interests as well.

Commander needs to be re-implemented. Better designed maps. I remember playing the game and I hated nearly every single map that came vanilla. The time it takes to unlock weapons needs to be gotten rid of for a better system. Another reason I hated Battlefield 3, it would take you several hours just to unlock a couple guns with ONE class on ONE team. After you got finished unlocking everything for a team? Guess what, you get to do it again! frustrating beyond belief. Controls/aiming needs to be fixed. Maybe I'm just crazy but I had no problem taking people out from FAR far distances in Bad Company 2. But Battlefield 3 it felt impossible. And I definitely don't remember these issues in BF2. GLARE GLARE GLARE. Get rid of it. We're not looking through a camera lens the entire time. Why is it that I look relatively near the sun or near a flash light and it's blinding/glarey/has those rays only cameras can see.

Not attempting to tie people into paying for maps and modes in a one off payment or 4 installments as it were that actually costs MORE than the retail price of the game at launch. In effect alienating those with common sense to the extent that the game begins to choke on the thick layer of dust that has accumulated on the case since it was thrown into the corner like a filthy wh0re.

1) Take our rent-a-server: Rent-a-server absolutely ruined quick match because it always put you in a 500% ticket lobby. Just keep DICE official servers and we'll be fine, or at least take away ticker increases. 2) Like ZNP said, refine the controls. I play on consoles so maybe it's worse, but aiming is absolutely atrocious. It is a very difficult game to control, especially on consoles because for some reason you get hung up on geometry very easily. 3) Tone down suppression or remove it altogether. 4) If they're doing a campaign, make it interesting. No more linear (there's a buzzword for ya) crap. I want BC1 style single player, but with BF3 style setpieces- earthquakes and towers falling and the like. 5) No QTE's in SP. 6) More map variety, less tight city streets. 7) Better destruction. How we went from destroying whole buildings in BC2 to blowing up walls (barely) in BF3 is beyond me. I know, there was probably hardware limitations, but still. 8) KEEP THOSE DIRT BIKES.

Not have a broken mess of a multiplayer for over a month on release. Not have broken VOIP on multiplayer for over 5 months from release. Better maps. I agree with ZNP about this, I just didn't really like any of the maps in BF3 especially in comparison to BFBC2, I found some of them were pretty boring and empty, and there were a good few tight alleyway maps (as Matty mentioned) which made most games too repetitive. Can't remember the name of one but it was 90% of the time always your team completely smashing the other team or getting smashed in Conquest mode. Fix knifing.

Nate-Dog Fix knifing. What do you want fixed about the knifing, specifically? IMO, the knifing is better in this game because you have to sneak up behind someone to get a knife kill rather than being able to run at them with your knife while they point the barrel of their gun in your mouth, they shoot and you still get a kill with one swipe of the knife (COD) lol. This knife system kind of feels a little more realistic because it takes a split second longer to swipe it (to get that last bit of health if you've run out of ammo) like it would if you were REALLY gonna try and go for your knife (meaning you'd have to drop your weapon and let it hang on your sling, grab your knife, have it out and in front of you in less than .2 seconds for it to matter lol). I get the reasons of why they have the knife function, but I'm not sure why it's faster than puling your sidearm. But this coming from someone who loves a little more realism/simulation in his military shooters so, forgive me for the bias lol.

To me it's a bit too slow. I mean if I run around a corner and find two people crouched facing away from me, for example, it would take about 8 seconds for me to be able to knife both of them, and with the awkward animation I would end up in front of the guy I knife which would often reveal me to the other person. It's been ages since I've played the game but one of the main knifing animations (if not the only one? I can't remember how many there were) had you turn the enemy around and you stab him in the chest, yet if you actually go to stab them from the front it takes about 4-5 slashes.

I will not be getting this game no matter how pretty or awesome it is ... 1: I loved BF3 until a month later they changed the gameplay to it... Wrecking the whole feel of the game and doing stupid things like everyone can see the mines... no matter what team laid them down... this made the mines useless and worst it made you a target right away to the mortar teams... 2: change the spread on the rifles and machine guns it such bs huge spreads that never connected with anything no matter the distance... 3: people able to jump into the game day one everything unlocked... it wrecks the balance and of the reward of putting time in... It sucks.. 4: Micro Transactions... yep I think this will be a game that they are going to use Micro Transactions in... I think all the guns will be lockable but will take a much longer time but they will offer unlocks at a price... be it weapons or outfits or dog tags what every... if they can charge it and make some money they will do it.. That all said... Still would like to play it... oh well hope some other shoot that does not do this will be out than... come on killzone daddy needs a shooter...

I understand now, and yes, I agree with the issue of it being slow to go through the animation. They should probably make the animation much shorter in the next one to cut down on time. They don't need to actually show your player taking the others' dogtag, we get the point lol. And I also agree with the issue about the animation sometimes making your player end up in front of the other guys' buddy who was lying next to you, unaware of your presence, but is now shooting you in the face while you're trying to rip off the guys' dogtags because of the animation. Well said, sir. FAT MAN GO BOOM I will not be getting this game no matter how pretty or awesome it is ... 1: I loved BF3 until a month later they changed the gameplay to it... I think you ought to give it another shot, Fat Man...they've since changed the issues you referred to in your first 2 points, but I agree with your gripes 3 and 4 about players being able to be bitches any buy all the unlocks up front; it does take away from the joy of unlocking new items and it makes the game less fair for those trying to level up. So if you, or anyone else on here, would like someone to play BF3 with, feel free to add me! I'd love to have new people to run a squad with! Too many people get on there and play without mics and as lone wolves and it doesn't work too well.

They need to increase the glare and bloom. I hate seeing enemies on the screen because they distract me from appreciating the sun.
