Explain how? VGleaks had nearly accurate info on the PS4, along with Edge. Why is this so unbelievable? Now i'm not saying the above is true, it could be a year or two old and changes may have been made, but why dismiss it so easily?

Well yeah, that phrase is open to interpretation. It could just be a phrase MS is coining for their next-gen social community. But what about the rest? Kinect has to be plugged in etc.

There's no way this "always on" thing will exist. Whatever that means.
It's probably the same as the Wii, where if you get a message it turns blue even if you turn the system off. It's just always connected to the internet.

speaking of this always on thing, is the steam box going to have this "always on" type problem as well, the having an internet connection to play your games type deal.

I just think it will mean things like downloading patches, updates etc. will happen silently in the background. Like on a PC, windows downloads the files while you continue using the PC.

Unlikely. They said in an interview they hadn't decided on the packages yet, but it looks like there may be a bundle that comes with it, but it most certainly won't be a must for every console purchase.

But if MS are building the console around the kinect then it would seem more likely. Plus with all these rumours about 2 - 3 GB being used for the OS, it does seem like the kinect will play a major role in MS' next gen console.
