End of Gen Backlog - Thursday, April 04, 2013 12:48 PM ( #1 )
Well we're almost done with this gen, 7 years of it. Next gen is drawing closer each day but there's still time to finish those games you never got around to playing or finishing.

So what games are you planning to finish or play before next gen starts?

  • Bayonetta - I only played the start of this game, i quit because of the terrible presentation and story. I'm 50/50 on going back to it.
  • Vanquish - It seems repetitive but full of crazy action.
  • Ico and SoTC HD - I need to complete this.
  • Okami HD - i'm also 50/50 on playing this. I've heard it's a really long game, i don't want to start it and end up dropping it.
  • The Unfinished Swan - Slipped under my radar.
  • Red Dead Undead - Seems like it would be a good laugh

So many games for me.
4 halo's
Uncharted: DF
Many more.

I think it was better when I was really broke and could not afford many games. Now that I have disposable income it's hard for me to finish games.
PS+ doesn't help that niether.

I dunno man, I'm playing it now. I forgot how frustrating old game design can be, it takes 30 mins of slooooooooooooooooow ass text just to get to the start of the game. Can't skip it ether, the dialog in general is frustratingly slow. It's not even likes it's good dialog ether. I still think it's a good game, but man am i seeing the flaws now.

I forgot about Tomb Raider and Portal 2.

I did a lot of the co-op at my mates house in Portal 2.

I still haven't got around to playing FFvsXIII! Other than that, I'm currently on the home stretch of Ni No Kuni, which I highly recommend. Not much else although I will have to check out TLOU, GTAV, Beyond:TS, MGSV:TPP, and maybe Dark Souls 2. As for PS2 HD editions, SOTC is awesome, and Okami is good. I still need to try the MGS HD collection, and will have to try FFX when it comes out. I should point out that the majority of big budget games this gen have failed to capture my interest.

Infamous 1&2
Little Big Planet 2
Kirby's Epic Yarn
Donkey Kong Country Returns
Enslaved
Tomb Raider (priority after finishing Infinite a couple more times)
Metal Gear Rising
I also need to finish Fire Emblem: Awakening (I suck and I'm getting my ass kicked so I'm little discouraged at the moment.)
My soul is still dancing.

I gotta finish Hyper dimension Neptunia Victory & Resonance of Fate.

Vanquish as well.

Otherwise most of my backlog is actually pc games. Like Tomb Raider and Dishonored(really wanted to play this one but never had time)

Oh yeah forgot about that abomination Ass Creed 3 and the 3ds games(Kingdom Hearts 3D and Fire Emblem)
maybe I should just stop buying games for awhile...way too many to play right now.

I got so many during steam sale, and there's the PSN+ games I got for free as well like Infamous 2...I might just stop buying games after Last of US, and wait till next gen before getting new games.

Re:End of Gen Backlog - Thursday, August 01, 2013 1:37 AM ( #15 )
I've been attacking my backlog that has spanned several generations.

I recently got around to playing Xenogears and Pokemon Emerald
Currently playing EarthBound, and re-playing Resi Evil 4
Games I've started but not yet finished: Final Fantasy VII, Banjo Tooie, Conker's Bad Fur Day, Viewtiful Joe
Would like to play a good RTS like Company of Heroes or Total War
Would like to eventually re-play Banjo-Kazooie, Wind Waker, Final Fantasy X
Games likely to be added to my backlog; GTAV, Pokemon Y, and possibly Assassin's Creed IV

That should last me years. Can't think of any games from this gen I still want to play.

My end of gen goes out with my PS3 RLOD...Of all times to die it gave up on the cusp of the new PS4 era. My PS3 must of found my Gamestop receipt that shows my PS4 is paid for and dies of heartbreak.

I'm ashamed of the amount games in my backlog. Well, not literally. But I've got lots to finish. I'll only play the ones that haunt me still. Here's one, or two:

Valkyria Chronicles
Bioshock
Ico and shadow of. .
And so on.
