OK so I was wondering if the Xbox 360 controller worked with navigating windows 8 because I prefer the controller and gaming on a couch but I just wanted to know how it is

nope. That's one of the drawbacks of PC, the mouse & keyboard are always in the way.

edit: well, apparently there is a way but it seems like it's gonna take time to configure:

There are many videos on youtube on how to do it.

If you have bluetooth there are some drivers made by a user called Scarlet from PCSX2 forums that let you use a PS3 controller wirelessly and it works like a charm but it only lets you connect 1 at a time though.

And the big plus is you can do this if you want.

Joy2Key will let you assign keyboard keys to controller buttons, and mouse movements to your joystick.

Isn't there a program that enables to use it more perfectly ?. All the apps mentioned are kind of buggy.

Yes, use a real input device instead of a toy.

I would recommend you install Steam and use that Big picture mode, right now that is really the only way to go full controller on Windows. :)

EDIT: BTW if you didn't know, it even has controller friendly web browser.

navigating the whole OS will be clunky, but if you use your pc for gaming Steam's big picture mode is the way to go.
