Nostalgic music tracks - Sunday, August 25, 2013 9:25 PM ( #1 )

taking a deviation from my boring studies of assembly language, of which I'm not understanding crap about registers and bits, I stumbled upon this track and oh man the nostalgia! Modern Jrpg's can't compete with the old ones I tell you, not in music nor anything. Xenosaga wasn't particularly good as a game though but that battle theme never gets old. The trilogy had really epic music indeed.

Anyway, what tracks you guys hear and instantly makes you feel the nostalgia?

I find most of the music in Nier to be quite memorable.

This song in particular I could never get out of my head.

When it comes to nostalgia, there are a few that really stand out for me.  This is the first computer game I played on my own computer in 1999-2000 (we had a computer before but it was old at the time with no internet), and at the time it was a pretty capable machine. The music and that intro to the game is one of the most memorable moments in gaming for me (mostly because it was the first game I could play on my own computer). It's also one of my favorite games of all time.

OoT also made a huge impression on me and I loved walking into the Temple of Time and hearing this. I could listen to it for hours.

(Also, stupid question: I've been away from the forums a long time till recently. How do you properly embed?)

Copy the url of the video it has to be the original, and can't have any thing after it, if in Chrome you have to hit ctr+shift+v as well.

That Mortal Kombat theme was never in the games, turned up in the movie I think. The Mortal Kombat theme in the games is sh!t. Only game I know of to have full audio including lyrics on cartridge was Tales of Phantasia:
