Sony made a lot of mistakes, What is even crazier is that I bought a ps3 on launch even with Sony flip flopping.  I am not going to lie, I found almost this entire list on gamespot but I did find about 7 articles myself.

I think it's interesting. Some people here seem to think that Sony is a saint, though those guys are almost entirely front-pagers.

They did nothing wrong yet received so much hate. I know they're rich companies but you can't help but feel bad for them.

It's quite fascinating actually, I like to see it as an overview on how far the PS3 has come, as you can see it started off extremely rocky, bad PR, doom and gloom, losing exclusives, yet the PS3 still pulled through despite all the doubts. People like to claim that the 360 achieved allot more this gen than the PS3 and in some respects they're absolutely right, but when you look at all the advantages the 360 had and all the disadvantages the PS3 had A) It's no surprise the 360 was a success and B) it's a surprise the PS3 still managed to pull through, and will most likely surpass the Wii in overall sales by 2015. It's a testament to how powerful the Playstation brand is, that even with Playstation at it's worst they can still stand toe to toe with it's competitors at their best.

Sony is in a far better position with the PS4 than they were with the PS3, this time the PS4 is affordable, a more robust online, still the most powerful console, better dev support, dev friendly, and as of right now, and way more focused than that of the PS3, the PS4 has a good chance of regaining Sony's console dominance, then again I believe all 3 consoles have a good chance at number 1, but the PS4 seems to have more of that chance.
