Motorcycle Thread - Sunday, September 01, 2013 5:10 PM ( #1 )
I thought this forum was missing a good thread for people who enjoy motorcycles so I made one.

Do you guys have any motorcycles?

They're cool but I'm pretty sure I'd eventually be killed driving one.
My soul is still dancing.

It comes with high risk but it's worth for some.

I am planning on getting one in the future. Have plans to take the motorcycle beginner's course to make sure. If I decide I want one after that I'm thinking a cruiser instead of a sports bike.

I don't live in a big city so that is one reason I kind of want one, if I lived somewhere with lots of traffic and such I'd pass.

One of the advantages of having a bike on a big city is that you can easily pass between the corridor of cars. I live 15 minutes away from the biggest city South America so that should come in handy.

What bike are you pretending to buy? Do you have any favorite ones?

I never had a bike, but next year I'm getting the Ninja 650R. Nice beginner bike.

What a pretty bike! Yamaha doesn't sell this bike here, that's a shame.

Honda's Shadow series catch my eye

One of those would be the bike I'd like to end up with after/if I get comfortable with riding.

My friend has been trying to talk me into getting a Ninja 300 as my first bike and though I think they look ok I'd really rather stick with a cruiser.

Even when I get comfortable I'm not looking for anything powerful or speedy. I'd probably never go above 85.

Looks like a really good bike. And I agree with not getting anything very fast, specially because that's your first bike...

I bicycle a lot, but other than that I can't help you.  I do want to learn how to ride a motorcycle... specifically a harley, but by the time I'll be able to afford one I'll most likely be having a kid and my wife will definitely not let me buy one then.

What harley catches your eye?

Why harley specifically? They have some pretty good looking models, but their prices are usually far too much for me, lol.

Harleys are too expensive. You can get a japanese bike for much, much cheaper.

Around here there's only two types of bikers.  Crotch rocket teens or harley bikers that join clubs eventually.  You wouldn't catch me on any Asian bike.

One of the things i'm excited about is the gear!! I'll be getting an all-black look. Probably using Alpinestars+Simpson.

Checked out the vn900, both the classic and custom look quite good!

B Man you wouldn't have any other type of cruiser at all? There are some nice ones out there. I'm not too keen on sports bikes either, but I wouldn't mind trying a less powerful one.

Where I live you have a mix...you have a few harleys, mostly all types of other cruisers and sports bikes.
