ALAMOGORDO, N.M. (AP) — A documentary film production company has found buried in a New Mexico landfill hundreds of the Atari "E.T." game cartridges that some call the worst video game ever made.

One of the biggest mysteries in my lifetime solved. I always thought it would end like Capone's vault.

I always thought it would end up lost under a mountain of garbage never to be found again, honestly. Too bad I will never get my dream of being the one to find them

Haha amazing.


I wonder how this will affect the AVGN movie, as i'm sure part of the plot was locating the E.T. landfill site. :)

*Some* ETs were found, it was proven to not however be an "ET Dump." The bulk of the dump was made up of 21+ other titles. As the original person in charge of the dumping in 1983 (who was there for the dig) stated, there were only 728,000 games dumped there and ET was a small portion of that.
