Re:Randomicity version 2 - Tuesday, December 11, 2012 9:37 PM ( #109841 )
A couple of months ago I saw a painting similar to this but much better while walking around in the mall.

Lol I went in and asked how much was it and the guy said 4k... Then I asked if they had prints lol... yeah... no. Last time I go in there.
It was the first time I really wanted a painting, something about the snow is calming for me. Maybe one day when I rake in enough money.

Find a huge copy of the painting online. Save it. Take it to staples, print out a poster sized print for 22 dollars. Bam.

Nice, Ill look out for one.

And come to think of it, I think I did find the exact painting I was looking for. I just couldn't recognize it cause I couldn't see the texture when I saw it in person.

Ill keep looking but I doubt the artist posted it in a larger than what I just posted pic...

Thanks for the tip tho

Some guys need to stop dating girls and start dating women. Had my best friend's girlfriend tell me about how he has no reason to be paranoid when she's around other guys who are clearly flirting, it's fine by her logic because she's in a relationship and makes that apparent with them.

Lets be serious, we all know guys who are users, they don't respect relationships, it's simply a barrier they're just gonna try and work around. Too many don't give a spit one way or the other.

There's nothing wrong with that. It's the girl's responsibility to say no. She's the only one trashing a relationship if she messes around with those "users".

From experience on both sides, your friend's girlfriend probably cheats constantly.

Pretty much my point, she's aiding the problem by letting them do it, but she craves the attention. She's  baiting them, that's a good way to get raped.

Congrats to Illinois citizens. You can finally do what you are constitutionally allowed to do, carry a concealed weapon.

Hopefully Chicago will be safer to roam after dark now >_<

Over the past 4 years I've been going to Chicago for Uni, I've gotten Crime Alerts almost every week - theft/armed robbery/assault robbery/etc

I bet Chicago will see reduction in crime over the next few years. Wisconsin was the last state before Illinois to get some sort of CCW permit and that just happened this year as well. Now all 50 states will have an option for responsible people to legally carry a firearm for self protection.

Shame the same cannot be said about Jersey. Shoot someone out of self defense and you'll probably go to jail longer than they would have.

Uh, nope. NJ has CCW. http://www.usacarry.com/n...ermit_information.html

It is very hard to get one but they are there. I bet Illinois will adopt a similar law.

Except our courts are ****ed up enough that you're screwed if you defend yourself and the assailant ends up dead.

Don't forget about gangs, murders, robbers. Those rascals can now get their toys easier, their k/d ratio will increase over the responsible noobs.

How do you figure? I have my CCW permit yet I still have to go through the NICS background check every time I purchase a gun. Every legal (retail) gun purchase has to go through an FFL and that person has to go through the NICS background check.

Gangs i.e use the concealed law to their advantage. One person drives, another handles drugs and they get a third guy with no criminal convictions to handle guns, that person can get a carry permit.  In the course of criminal activity that follows it can count for arrests, but no convictions. When a gang member has a state licensed carry permit it makes it harder for police to prove he had an intent to commit a crime. You can be arrested a dozen times over and still be eligible to carry a gun, a background check only covers what they know not in absence of what can't be proven. Hell, in most states a person who commits domestic abuse and is pinned with a restraining order is allowed to carry a gun while that restraining order is in effect, now that's scary.

I'm not saying anything against owning weapons to protect yourself, I'm just saying that it's a double edged sword for the people who want protection and the people you're protecting against.
