Apparently Super bot might shut down, after Sony cut ties with the studio
Stupid on Sony's part.  They made a good game with what they were given, IMHO.

imo

SuperBot went into the party fighter genre strong. People had high expectations. With Smash Brothers being essentially the standard, SuperBot copied Smash Brothers. And that right there is no problem. What the problem was that they took that synergy, that formula that made Smash such a success, and they changed the most integral part because they didn't want people to constantly call them out for copying. It made their situation much worse.

Not only that but many of the characters they chose were not classics in any way shape or form. Everyone always praises Sony for having such a strong 1st party lineup yet they have little to no games that could have made people want to purchase a party brawler with their characters in it. Think about it, Smash brothers has Mario, Zelda, Pikachu, Samus, Link/Zelda, Fox etc. All classics that people grew up with and are familiar with. Sony had Kratos, they could have had Dante but Capcom screwed them over. They should have fought for Crash and Spyro, two characters that I instantly associate with the Sony brand. Jak & daxter was good, so was Parapa and Ratchet and Clank, Sweet Tooth and Sly and Toro, but other than that they have no other classics they can take characters from. It's fine to have a roster with some new characters from new games, but don't rely on it.

But there was a lot that was messed up with All Stars. The name feels a bit awkward, the art styles felt like they just took characters from their respective games and plopped them in without second thought. At least the comboing was decent.

Noob question, when does a RPG get the JRPG label, for instance, Final Fantasy 7 was labelled a JRPG, but FFX and Shadow hearts are usually classified as RPGs, I understand that Japanese development is mandatory, but what sets them apart, is it the characteristic anime styled graphics, or what ?

Found a copy of killer7 at CEX for just €4, looks like it's like new too, nubs selling it for that price but hey I don't mind. Mind you my PS2 and Wii game collection is growing quite quickly, and I own neither console currently.

The stupid story and hairstyles set them apart.

Just got an eyeful of Dead Space 3 spoiler on the main page. Managed to get away before I realized what I was reading but still managed to catch a pretty large detail.  Damn it. I should know better by now.

JRPG stands for Japanese Role Playing Game. So usually anything by a japanese developer.

I already got the ending spoiled for me (exactly how I guessed it would end anyways). Not too upset, never was invested with the story of DS. Now Bioshock Infinite... OHHHHHH if anyone spoils that for me ther will be hell to pay. That and The Last of Us.

How do spoilers bother you people? It's beyond me. Oh, the ending was spoiled? That's fine, I'll still get to experience the rest of it that built up to it. How does an ending that can be predicted before watching or playing something be spoiled anyway?

It's like a roller coaster or an amusement ride. You know it's gonna end, so how does knowing that ruin the rest?

Heavy Rain's ending was crucial man, also Final Fantasy games usually have memorable nice conclusions, playing through the entire game knowing that this given party member will die, get injured, .... etc kinda takes away from the experience. Games like Ratchet and Clank on the other hand can be played and still thoroughly enjoyed even if you already know the ending, also, for me story is the most important aspect of any videogame along with game play, so the ending is pretty big deal for me.

Well if there is a twist ending like Sixth Sense for example it would ruin the entire story.

Imagine if you had never seen sixth sense and you already knew the ending because some ass hat told you. It would change the movie experience a great deal.

Imagine Bioshock's ending. Would you kindly have liked someone to have ruined it for you?

Except it's not ruined for me. It's never ruined for me. Knowing how something ends doesn't change the experience from the beginning. Refer again to my roller coaster analogy. In fact knowing the ending would allow me to notice the finer details in the story line that allude to that ending.

Even a twist ending, doesn't ruin it for me. I think the people who complain about spoilers are just prima donnas. You know the saying, it's not the the destination, it's the journey that counts.

Being spoiled is awful, it made me absolutely hate Heavy Rain the whole time I played it cause I knew what was coming. The game was pretty ****ty anyways but at least I would have been guessing who it was rather than just waiting for the reveal the whole time.

Dude who spoiled it for me was creative though, he wrote multiple blogs with the ending as a title, and me, acting as a good N4G citizen went over to the blog section to approve the good ones, and BAM
