Does anybody else think that family guy is going down hill?
-
Tuesday, October 20, 2009 7:33 PM
I hate to say it, but for the past 2 seasons it has been getting worse and worse. I own the first five seasons so believe me, im a fan. The new ones just aren't as funny and its starting to be too mainstream. Does anybody else know what im talking about?

Family Guy is kinda overrated, not that great anymore. South Park on the other hand is still consistently funny every season.

Family Guy has been going down hill since the start of season three. The show has always been going down hill. The cornyness and cheesyness of recycled material they use as well as using obvious jokes that seem funny to anyone who is unfunny. The writing is just dreadful and I hope Seth Macfarlane burns in hell for punishing us with his less than average creative mind. All his shows use the same base. A mom. A dad. A son, daughter. Whatever dumbass creature he decides to use in replace to Brian as a dog on Family Guy. End. *Greenlight* Take the Cleveland Show for example. A dad, a mom, three kids, and a bear. Big ****ing difference. Seth Macfarlane has proven he doesn't have a creative mind at all. Family Guy and rehash ideas are his only trick.

I hate the new Family Guy i used to love that show so much but about a year after their show was taken back by fox it started to go downhill. the plotlines are getting to be very lame. alot of the jokes are rubbing me the wrong way lately. like all the rape and rape incest jokes are getting old. the episode that had quagmire murder the entire simpsons family including maggie pissed me off. the episode that had quagmire love a cat he bought and then peter murdered it with a razor (he slashed it like 8 times with blood spraying everywhere) the shows not funny anymore

South park really hit family guy on the head when they made fun of them. Family guy really is only good when you are drunk. It's mindless comedy based on flashbacks and jokes, half of which most don't get. Seth macfarlen, as talented as he is overall, it's obvious his brand of humour is extremely narrow minded. All his shows are the same basic formulas.
Oh, noes! My sig exceeds forum specs

Its like The Simpsons, first 10 seaons were great then started to suck, Family had good seasons pre-cancellation, then one good season when they got back but then they to suck.

I really like Family Guy, but I was sorely disappointed with American Dad and Cleveland.

Polluted I really like Family Guy, but I was sorely disappointed with American Dad and Cleveland. I actually like the Cleveland Show more than Family guy and american dad. Family Guy is just doing the same jokes in different contexts non-stop still good but getting old. Cleveland Show has a talking christian bear and black baby which equals win.

First episode of the newest season was great. Can't say the same for the rest as I haven't seen them. Don't know what people complain about, most flashbacks are funny as hell.

I'm actually starting to enjoy the Cleveland Show. I think Family Guy was in its prime for seasons 3 to 6.

the bottom line is even if Fam guy is going downhill its still much much funnier than any other cartoon comedy out there To the guy that was turned off about the cat being killed part, that wasnt supposed to be that funny, but did u listen to what Joe said afterwards? Hil-Fking-larious. I think 90% of ppl who watch family guy dont pick up on all the nuances and subtle humor thats displayed throughout the episodes and only catch on to the "obvious" jokes which are not really supposed to be that funny And to the guy who said South Park is funnier..................................just no, plz stop

Bubbles And to the guy who said South Park is funnier..................................just no, plz stop I agree on that. In my opinion South Park has been a fail series since it started. People that likes it, has bad taste for good things.

I agree with this, annoying voices, annoying characters, hard to get through an episode

Family guy was always garbage. I fail to understand why it is popular. Although I suspect it has to do with the lowering average IQ in the North American Continent in the past 25 years.

Futurama was the best of the three at the time, and to this day is much funnier. But it was just too much of "smart" comedy instead of family guy's "hey look at me, i'm loud and funny (or at least, try to be)". It was good, but i won't be missing it too much when it's finally pulled. At this point, family guy is just about one liners

Indeed, but to play off this continents stupidity is impossible. What other region of the world would devote a solid 8 days of news coverage to the Bubble boy and his idiotic family. What other continent spends an entire month celebrating a pedophile who happened to be a popstar in the 1970s-80s and has not been relevant for over 20 years. Might not even be a problem with the continent, the whole world could generally be stupid. :/ now I'm Depressed.
