Sony forgetting about MAG?
-
Thursday, November 05, 2009 8:39 PM
With the new announcement that PS3 owners will get a console exclusive beta (most likely a deal Sony worked out to rival MW2 with xbox imo), do you think Sony will turn on the hype Machine more for BF:BC2 than MAG? Me personally I was never impressed with MAG even playing in the beta, seems like a generic shooter with the only feature to mention is the 256 players. Battlefield BC2 impressed the hell out of me when I saw the offscreen video of the game. Looks graphically amazing, destructible buildings and more vehicles. I think it would be smart for Sony to push this game as if it was like a 1st party game. Battlefield has the name to sell consoles and by the looks of it, it has much more to offer than MAG does. So is MAG gonna get left in the shame bin with Socom Confrontation?

Doesn't make sense to market it when the game comes out in January.

MAG sucks, so it's no small wonder they're brushing it under the carpet.

MAG isn't that bad of a game as you guys are making it out to be. It really is the "teamwork" game. This game relies 100% on teamwork, so I doubt it will be a hit among the casuals. I expect many Socom Vets to migrate to this game. The gunplay is amazing though, there are a lot of good things about MAG.

Y'know, I seem to remember quite a few of you doubters posting in a thread about how Demon's Souls was gonna suck.

- The Corrupt - MAG sucks, so it's no small wonder they're brushing it under the carpet. I agree, I had high hopes for it because of Zipper and what I've heard about them and Socom, but after playing in the beta a couple of times I didn't like it. Perhaps I didn't give it a shot, or the fact that it wasn't as refined as a full game could have been but I just didn't get a good vibe while playing it.

Socom players dont want this ****.

MAG is a weird one. I don't think marketing would help it anyway, decent game though. Reminds me of Counterstrike for some reason.

huh, why dont soo many people like this game? i hink that its better than killzones multiplayer and most other multiplayer games out there. I was disappointed at first but when you upgrade to the next assult rifle (best one) then you start becomming good, know what to do, become good at being a squad, etc. It has also gotten much better since the last couple of patches, expecially the last one.
