Does anybody else get itchy beards? - Thursday, November 05, 2009 10:15 PM
I'm growing my manly beard out after a long time and I forgot how itchy it was. Anybody else get this?

Fleas? There are shampoos for that.

How long is your beard? My friend gets the same way but after a certain length it stops itching.

As someone that has had facial hair for nigh on 4 years straight, beards will get itchy after 2 weeks or so of growth, but that will go away once it gets longer.

All for the appeal at the risk of being annoying as hell.

When you shower, let conditioner rest on your face.  You know, that is, if you shower of course.

It is true that it gets less itchy after you grow it for a few weeks, once it's about an inch long it doesn't itch at all, but sweaty-beard-itis is what pisses me off the most

Yes mine does too and I can't stand it. I never let mine grow though. As soon as it starts to really appear it's shaving time. Just from time to time I get lazy and dont shave for a few days, until it really starts to frustrate me.
