To get Platinum(s); Trophy sharing, WRONG/OK? - Monday, November 09, 2009 4:21 PM
Have you gotten trophies from people be4?

I have, there is nothing wrong with it cuz to me it is the same thing as boosting trophies with your friends online. If you can't get a trophy or a platinum what is wrong with someone else HELPING you get it? That is the same as boosting, ryte, some1 else HELPING you get something you could not get otherwise yourself?

I just wanted to know people's views on this.

Lol, so what if he wants to get more trophies, if anybody here has played an RPG before then its like the same thing as leveling up on there, they both really have no point.

Its a dumb thing to do but who cares, good idea though

There is no violation of terms of agreement. Where in there does it say you can not have some1 elses account on your ps3? When you game share you got some1's account on your ps3 ryte. So trophy sharing is the same damn thing. And Sony even tells you that you can have up to 5 PS3's linked to your account. So if they tell you that then they obviously see nothing wrong with it.  Trophy sharing is the SAME as boosting like I said be4.

So Mr. Bull**** Moderator where is the violation of the terms of agreement?

Theres nothing wrong with getting help with a trophy that you cant get and its the only one stopping you getting the plat, but swapping accounts to get more trophies is kinda lame.

What's the point?  You didn't earn the trophies anyways.  Plus it's not like they are worth anything more than a badge of honor that you accomplished something.

Cheater suck is right...

Wrong. Trophies mean that you achieved something, which you clearly didn't.

what do you mean sharing, getting trophies? i'm confused?  Do you mean have other people get you the trophy?  If that's the case, then everyone who plays with people in real life get these.. i've gotten my friends a couple of trophies by playing on their system, and vice versa.. if they wanted to keep it personal, every game should have multiple account logins like LBP so people keep the trophy they get instead of it going to who ever the primary account on the console.. either way, who the hell cares if you cheat at getting some digital reward for a non-existing item... not I

Meh...you have the wrong idea about trophies if you think boosting is the same as sharing.  You're getting the trophies yourself if you boost so in a way you still earned your own trophy.  And most people that boost probably have the skill to get it but don't want to waste time getting 10,002 kills for it.

Sharing is just not doing anything to achieve the trophy at all on a game you suck at.  I couldn't be proud if someone said "whoa good job on ______" (insert game) and know in my head that someone else got the trophy for me.

Unless I go to compare trophies and he has things completed that I don't and I ask him for tips and he just stutters without knowing the answer, plus I consider peoples level to determine their skill as a gamer, and apparently he isn't as good as advertised.

Well that is pathetic, trophies are there for one to earn. It's like using cheats in a game just so you can complete it.t ruins the whole ponit, using cheats ruins the point of finishing the game and having someone earn "trophies/achievements"  ruins the point of acheiveing these trophies.

No, there is nothing wrong with it.

But I'll say this, had I not gotten my trophies for the only 4 platinums I had, and still ended up with the plats, I would not be even half as satisfied or excited when the plat rang in.

The hell's the point of giving your account to someone else to get you trophies? They're for FUN, for ****'s sake. You should be playing the game to have fun, allthewhile unlocking them! Even when it becomes the chore, atleast you're still enjoying yourself. Jeez.

There's nothing that says you can't do this. However, what moron wants to give away that sense of satisfaction you get from unlocking a plat for a game?
