I am sure if you have bought the game you will probably be in denial right now and for those of you who live by this game, like it's your life will also be in major denial but for those of use who are gamers and buy and play games for innovation.... Well those gamers, including me look upon Modern Warfare 2 as a true let down.

Playing this game for a few moments just shouted at me: COD4! COD4! COD4!..... Serious now people, there is no difference. If anything it's worse. The screen is too busy, everything is everywhere. The sound effects are unrealistic. The levels are to bright and colourful, everything looks childish. The campaign is too short and uneventful, feels boring even when something feels like its going to happen. The online is awfully cluttered and problematic. etc. I mean it goes on and on and on.......

Im glad I didn't buy it and I just played a friends copy, to anyone thinking of buying, give it a miss. Play as much as you can of COD4, if you have it and then once you played that enough, id say invest in Battlefield Bad Company 2 if you want a proper war type game.

I am sick of hearing people talk about this game as if it's amazing. It didnt break any boundaries with the last title and it has not broke any new boundaries with the new title.

I say, give up now Activision!

And id love to give the developers credit but I cannot credit something that does not deserve it. So in this case, it really does not deserve it.

Lets get this straight are you trying to tell me im not a gamer? iv bin playing games longer than youv been eating hot dinners an i play games for fun not just innovation u fool!
 
and your saying people should just play COD4? why??? MW2 is an improvment in everyway if you really dont like it then personnally i dont think you are a true gamer if you liked COD4 you should like this one ahha get a grip but then again that is your oppinion!
 
EDIT--- OH yeh im no fanboy i will be buyin BAD COMPANY 2 as soon as it comes out aswel but people shoulnd not buy MW2 becuase BC2 Looks so good why not get both? especially when you can get MW2 for £4.99 when trading in COD4 wich is old news now (2 years old) and Operation flashpoint (Now that was a MAJOR MAJOR LET DOWN!!) so why not shabang!

It really doesn't require that much skill, and that is a major reason why it is so popular.  I can't tell you how many people I have seen online that think they are the sh!t because they had 25 kills.  Seriously, it's not that difficult.

So, what is a difficult game?

Killzone 2 requires a bit more skill than Call of Duty, for example.  Also, nobody said it wasn't fun.  It's pretty funny how much you are running around defending it, though.  We don't all share your opinion, Captain, get over it.

I think they've played this quite well.

It's all about "reactionary forces".

If the game gets rave reviews and everyone's talking about it, we are bound to see a reactionary force (ala GTA4) such as this where people exaggerate how bad it is because they don't believe it's worthy of the hype.

If, on the other hand, we get a lot of criticism, such as that from disgruntled PC gamers, we see what is in the comments - a secondary reactionary force whereby people will defend it to the death. This helps to quell the GTA4-style anger where people felt as though the game was a waste of time, turning it into comments such as "we're gamers, can't we enjoy it as a game" which, from a marketing perspective, is brilliant - as if you have that attitude you've got to buy it to try it out. All of this raises the profile of MW2 still further.

I hated L4D1 and so I don't think there's anything L4D2 can do to win me over. At least it doesn't pretend to be serious this time. Iiiiiiiit's comedy shooting-zombies-in-the-face time! gwagwagwagwa! With HILARIOUS consequences! L4D1 was scary like Scooby Doo is scary.
