You're right about any issues getting fixed in a patch, but don't you think it's kind of sad how we just expect games to launch with crippling bugs now?  It's okay to be a little bit pissed about it man.  If they ****ed up, then they ****ed up.

works fine for me on ps3 and you can join somebodys game by clicking on invite and then there psn card thing then it gives you the option to invite or join there session so i dunno what your doing wrong but it works

Lulz, the all mighty Infinity ward, who can never be at fault, and make perfect games, have to patch it?

Omg, are they gonna release the ps3 patch 3 months later or are we gonna get it the same time this time?

I'm guessing the problem may be on your end check your NAT and make sure it is open and then forward the correct ports. This may help resolve your issue.

edit: it's like it's a different developer every week first valve now IW who's next dice when BF doesn't work exactly right out of the box?

Yeah but a game would normally have small bugs like some people finding a place in the map where they're not supposed to go or maybe the matchmaking takes a bit longer than it should for the first couple of days, having the invite system not working is a pretty big problem and since patches normally take a couple of week this wont be fixed soon, and this is Infinity Ward were talking about (look at COD4 support)

All I'm saying is that the IW hate seems like the flavor of the week people will move on to hate a new developer here shortly. In conclusion gamers in general are just whiners. But L4d2 is just an expansion "let's start a petition" no dedi's in MW2 " let's start a petition"

ouch..lol hit a nerve? TU= title update as in you have to download a patch for the game before you can play online.

edit: server side tweaks give the devs the ability to fix things without a patch like in UC2.
