Can't you just go get a new fan and replace it yourself?

opened it up and it was cooked some things were a little bit melty lol... but I saved the HDD and the RAM and was able to put the ram in my dads dell laptop so that got bumped from 512 to 2048 so now we put windows 7 on it....

i was playing beatles rock band about too get a hundred percent on helter skelter playing bass on hard, then suddenly it froze. i figured, no big deal i got it down i'll just wipe the disk throw it back in and do it again. so i do that and stick it back in start the game but this time when i got to the loading screen, crashed again now i'm freaking out a bit so i decide to try another game, this time the ps3 could not even read it.
 
and that's how my ps3's disk drive went kaputz.
it's not a total loss though as i can still play psn games and what not.

     I had a Xbox 360 from launch. Yea it lasted a year and then it went, well, boom. Yes my Xbox exploded before my eyes while I was playing Dead Rising. I then screamed like a little girl and threw the remote at my father who was asleep in a chair. Yes I'm pretty sure I recall myself crying for a couple of days.

Two days ago my PS3 froze while playing Tetris, I had to hold the reset button for like 30 seconds for it to respond, it was scary.

To makes things worse while I was looking up online what to properly do with my PS3, my computer randomly shut off, very scary times.

My second ps3 just got the YLOD yay i dont even think i'll bother getting a third one.

Yeah, don't. Then you'll have time, to make more pointless threads now...

I'm on my 2nd ps3, if/when it dies, I will consider buying a 3rd. PS3's go on sale now a days often, so it's not as bad as it used to be.

I ordered a RROD Halo 3 edition 360 off of eBay a month ago for $30. 1st broken console I've ever owned. So depressing to see it with the red rings :( BUT I had a friend fix it for $10 and it's been working like a charm ever since.

Sad time for me right now! When I got home from work today, I saw the coffin to my old friend sent by Sony. 5 1/2 years of gaming on it, I haven't been this sad since my launch 360 died. Oh well I will have a new slim in 10 days! New games for christmas and no system, that hurts! Happy Holidays to everyone, and Happy Birthday to me(12/25/??)!
