I have a couple questions. Is toaster's screenshot from WoW? Do you use any special program for screenshots?
 




Yeah if you want to get into wow then hit me up. Not a lot of people on here play WoW but I just got back into it with Mists.

Okay thanks. I have the free version of Fraps. I was just curious on how to get the best quality.  
  


Be careful with fraps though. Everyone hates it, but everyone uses it because it's one of the few programs that just works how it's supposed to. Someone told me about a better program that they use for both recording and screenshots, I'll try and get the name for you. 
 
FRAPS is by far the best program to capture screenshots and video. I just donate for the full version since it's so cheap. Def worth it if you like sharing your screenshots.

Thanks toaster I think FRAPS and a sound card are the next things on my list to get.

Someone I watch that makes Lets Plays on youtube uses this and says it's better than Fraps. Food for thought.

These are all in-game shots (not mine mind you). They were taken by the the co-head of Polycount (popular forum for game artists).

Guess I'll join in on the Crysis 3 fun, I only played the first mission and messed around in the beginning of the 2nd level. I didn't expect this game to look this good, the rain/weather effects are incredible I can't even describe them, they have to be seen in person.

Been alright Brobocop. I've been gaming less and less and going to parties more and more. It sucks because I'm pretty much an alcoholic now, I call it Toaster's Early-Twenties Crisis.

my settings are 1080, everything on very high and fxaa (I prefer fxaa because it has almost no overhead)

Tomb Raider's looking pretty good. It's cool to see real-time hair simulations in games.
