I think this is great news. Why not? We have a voice/vote....use it. Sure, Sony won't start crapping out JRPG's overnight, but at least we will make them AWARE that they are wanted. Awareness is the key. If a business doesn't feel people want it, they won't make it. If the demand is there the supply will come. Well, I think the boom of RPG's flooding to the PS3 will start right after Final Fantasy 13's release. It would make sense for Sony to do so.

But if that keeps on happening, then there wont be many rpgs to come out for the 360. For PS3 rpg fans unfortunately, we will have to wait until mid 2009 until the rpg gravy train starts to roll ...

Disgaea 3 this summer. Other than that I think we're getting Eternal Sonnatta this year and much more than likely Tales of Vesperia next year. Unfortunately it seems most of the RPGs won't start coming till 09 like FFXIII and White Knight Chronicles. I think part of the problem is how much longer it takes RPGs to make than other games.

well, Eternal Sonata is only confirmed for JPN release right now but i'm hoping it gets released worldwide, if not i hope they include the english dub in the JPN version. Disgaea 3 and Valkyrie Chronicles look to be the only good JRPG's this year for the PS3. 2009 and forward will start bringing in more so i look forward to that. i still play old ps1/ps2 jrpgs for the time being so it's all good.

If you want to play RPGs why don't you just buy 360. There are lots of them. You can even get Infinite Undiscovery and Tales of Vesperia this year. I am not understanding the mentality of waiting to play games.
I have PS3 by the way and only RPG worth getting is Oblivion, but aready have it on 360. Final Fantasy is not only RPG on planet.

so playing older ps1/ps2 games isn't an option? there are tons out there. maybe some people don't have interest in the 360 rpg's or don't find them an incentive to buy a 360. maybe some can't afford to buy one. i don't think this petition is really about FF but rpg's in general. the ps3 is really lacking in that dept. i bought blue dragon and i'll get LO and they look awesome.
