Who else wants Mass Effect on PS3?
-
Friday, July 18, 2008 11:27 AM
My PC sucks. I can't afford a 360. I'd buy this for PS3 in a heartbeat. EA owns BioWare, so it's only a matter of time right?

I believe there are strong rumours ever since the EA acquisition. Could be another Bioshock.

Who knows, though Microsoft might do something to deter it lol. Even if it is, the question would be, how long would it land on the ps3. Nothing was said about it at e3 though maybe something will be said at tgs, but if not and its coming, you might be waiting a bit.

Honestly guys... in my opinion you're not missing that much anyway. I was really dissapointed with mass effect after all the pre-release hype.

Who knows he might like it....i liked it though there were issues, fortunately i didn't really suffer anything to bad just like longer loading times.

Not me. I own both a PS3 and a High End PC. I just bought Mass Effect on the PC the other day. 60 fps, no pop up, and no atrocious loading screens for me!

I disagree. Mass effect was the best non multiplayer game i played last year. Very cinematic, loved the sci fi plot and the combat was engaging enough for me to beat the game, which i rarely do these days PS3 owners should definatley check it out if this game comes their way.

I dont care about all this "exclusives" crap that you guys care about. I'm a supporter of "every gamer should be able to play every game regardless of the system they own." That being said... Mass Effect is a brilliant game. It makes great use of the Unreal 3 engine with the textures, and environments and physics, etc... It's a Bioware RPG, so it's got its linear elements, but it still very, very fun and challenging, and after playing through it 3 times, I cannot wait for the sequel. It's definitely a game that I'd recommend to others... just because of the cinematic experience. Therefore, I would hope that it does come to the PS3 so you guys can enjoy it just as much as I have.

I was following this game before it's release with a green envy (pun intended). Getting BioShock is such a treat, that's one I'd followed before release too. Getting the definitive version of BioShock is just icing on the cake. Also how did Too Human get introduced into this thread? I watched my brother play the demo and it looks kinda bad... 10 years in the making and it should at least be on par with GeOW visually. The gameplay looked like a shiny mess of Rogue Galaxy (great JARPG BTW). EDIT: Good words Dukester.

ORIGINAL: socomnick I played this game last year and man the game is good. The ending is so daam epic. I hope you guys do get mass effect on your ps3's you guys need a good rpg. My main issue with mass effect was that it could have been SO good. The cinematics, the conversation depth, the characters and the exposition were all there. But the underlying plot of the whole game was boring and derivative I thought. With a good plot - mass effect would have been simply stunning - rather than just decent.
