PS3 Buzzing Noise
-
Sunday, September 14, 2008 5:05 PM
Hey guys, I have an issue I was wondering if anyone could help me with. Everytime I turn on the PS3, there is a buzzing noise coming from the part under the buttons and the card readers. (it's a 60gb). I mean, that it's coming from the section where the air gets taken in from the front. I wanted to know if anyone else has this issue, and if it's normal and whatnot. I can only hear if i put my ear reaaaally close to that section of the PS3. I wasn't sure if it was normal, so I just needed an answer. It's always there even when I'm playing game, or even when it's just sitting in the XMB without a disc. It's there even when the fans are revved up. Thanks guys.

LOL, Breakfast. On topic: My friend had a similar problem...a small piece of plastic had come loose inside his system (nothing critical, as it turned out) and was repeatedly hitting the fan. Eventually the fan spit it out. Maybe that's what wrong with yours. Try a little canned air in the vent. Any other thoughts from PS3 owners?

He likes to ruffle feathers. So don't take him too seriously...which is why I responded with an LOL, rather than a reprimand.

Back on topic, please. Let's not turn this into a flamefest. Someone has asked for help, so let's respond to that request and keep fanboyism out of it.

This panda is doing wonders for the fanboy in me. Usually, I just say "**** it", and lose.
