Brr, It's FREEZING
-
Sunday, May 31, 2009 4:50 PM
My Ps3 that is. There's been something I've noticed for a little while about my PS3. my PS3 likes to freeze after about 10 or more min use with the web browser. it just doesn't load pages at all and i can;t move the mouse and none of the buttons do anything. This has happened to me at least five times and the last thing I had problems with was with Little big Planet. One day I was playing a level when all of a sudden the screen went black and I was taken out of the game and found myself back at the PS3 menu screen. What is up? Do I need a replacement and also does warranty cover controllers too because my PS3 controller cracked after about a week of playing SFIV. I've only had my system for about a month and a half.

That`s strange, call Sony. Would be my advice. Good Luck

Jubo1 Too much porn. There is no such thing. Rules of the internet: 34. There is porn of it. No exceptions. AKA there is a porn for having to much porn.

Which sites are you browsing? I know hulu has some loading times that often seems like it is freezing up.

I would think this is everyone having problems. I expect the next firmware to address this. Since last firmware I have had freezes with my browser too.

I've had a few problems with it and its been happening more often lately, but then again my connection is really weak and i've got an itchy finger that doesn't stop clicking which is probably the problem

Try turning Javascript off. Press Triangle --> Tools --> Javascript --> Off. This makes a lot of sites load faster, including N4G, and you'll avoid freezing problems. Just note that some sites like YouTube need it on.

I've had problems like this with the browser since day one. Outside of that, literally nothing. The browser on the PS3 is a memory hog, and very unstable. It's not much to do with your PS3, just certain sites, advertisements, and the like, can just cause a crash. Personally, I think it'd be great if Sony got into a deal with Mozilla or Google and added Chrome/Firefox as the PS3's browser, of course, modified and optimized to make it safe and effective for PS3 use,
