Well, I've been turned off Ravensword. According to multiple reviews, there's no customisation. Equipment doesn't even have stats, apparently. I'll stick with Dungeon Hunter and Zenonia - they may not look as nice, but at least I can create the character I want to in them.

Yeah Ravensword is more of an adventure game than RPG but yeah it seems MiniGore is finally turning into a meatier game
 
Also on the horizon is SE Song Summoner and right after that Hills and Rivers game came out.

I'll be holding off any more purchases 'til Christmas - I already know a lot of my friends will be picking up £15 iTunes vouchers. So I'll pick up everything I'm missing on Christmas Day.

That always works!  Some frown on gift cards but I like em as then I can buy what I want

I finally caved and bought an iPhone 3Gs and wow...I never thought I'd be using it as much as I am for gaming. I'm playing mostly Red Alert atm and yeah, EA did about as good of a job on the console versions of RA3 as they did on the iPhone (glitches and such) but the mayor issue so far is the dumb AI. Two mirage tanks and two javelin soldiers coming from that path....again...didn't see that coming! Haven't played much yet though but all in all it is more than a time waster (as I thought all iPhone games would be) it feels like a full game.

This thread is great btw. Found a lot of nice apps from here!

Giggity Giggity   Congrats on the buy!  I haven't played Red Alert on the iPhone but glad you are enjoying it minus the AI of course.  Yeah this thread has a lot of suggestions for sure heh.

You know what? All this talk about it not being able to compete with the DS/PSP because of not having controls, are they really legit? I haven't tried any games using a virtual analog but for my RTS fix there really isn't any better way to control it on a portable device. The stylus on the DS is great but using your finger feels even better imo. I think the iPhone is a VERY good gaming device. I'd like to see some original "big budget" IPs coming though. Gameloft (who seems to be the biggest dev) pretty much copies existing titles as far as I've seen.

Oh yeah the iPhone I do see as a pretty decent gaming device.  Some games nail the virtual stick while others games you wonder where the testers were.
 
As far as Gameloft goes sure they pretty much copy a game for the iDevices but they are the only ones bringing those kinds of titles to the handheld so they are filling a void the app store needs.

MiniGore's new update is pretty awesome... I love the day and night cycles. My only concern, really, is that you pay for things with your kills and not your points. Killing a million Creeps is asking a bit much...

I have to revisit that one. Played some Monkeys in Space last night, and Hippo High Dive is up next!

Defender Chronicles is probably one of the best TD games I've ever played. Now if they'd make a PJM game on the iPhone I'd go ahead and proclaim the iPhone as the greatest handheld ever made. Strategy games + iPhone = huge win.
