Until the game is released/A demo comes out, I'm not watching anything about this. I want this game to be a surprise for me plus after witnessing the Too Human fiasco, their is no such thing as being too careful.
What the hell does Too Human have to do with this?
Thats like saying: "After witnessing the Haze fiasco, I will save my opinion on God of War III till its released, there is no such thing as being too careful."
What the hell do you say with this? Really, nonsense.
This game looks like to be the thriller/action game of 2010 and a great addition to the library of games and genres for the 360. I am really looking forward to playing Alan Wake!
I used Too Human as an example because I was really hyped for it and one of the main reasons I was excited for it was that it took so long to develop, and I hated the game. I know this game has a long developmant cycle and this time I want to keep my expections low.

Alan Wake, Gears 3, and Reach are the reasons I'm getting a 360 :D I loved the Halo:Reach book (hope the story's the same general concept)
I think Alan Wake looks really cool for the most part, but every time I see him shoot one of the shadow people with his flashlight I have to laugh- kinda corny imo- but none the less I love the setting and aesthetic it takes on, very cool!

I was pretty interested in this game, but I have to agree with those who haven't been interested in the gameplay mechanics shown so far. I'm getting a bit worried about this game. It's still the only thriller game on my radar, and my second most anticipated 360 game after Splinter Cell.

There is another video out that shows a scene where your trying to get away from a police man hunt, its a giant chase scene where the darkness is killing the police that are coming after you, it looked amazing.
I think this will be a downright amazing title.

of course you do :-) I'm hoping the story is good; the story seems pretty cool, and that is what I care for most so it'll be all good. To be fair, i don't think much of the gameplay, imo it's kinda meh. But the story looks pretty sweet so far and would like to see/hear more

That was awesome the atmosphere is sweet although I wanted to see a bit more of those shadow things but yeah those vids were awesome.

Alan's movement looks a little clunky but the visuals are nice. Too dark though, the environments look great, why keep it that dark...?

I'm assuming the darkness is meant to convey a certain mood and atmosphere.
