Playstation 4 will not existe because ps3 will ultimately be its downfall and sega will take its place. also, Xbox will take the place of the playstation in terms of giant library of games and home to the most rpgs.

Ah I'm over it.  PS4 will come out and Xbox 3 will come out just like Nintendo 6 will.  These console makers are in for the long run and really can only get better.  We think we have it good now eh?  Just think what's in store for us.

Are you japanese? Do you come from japan? Are you involved in their culture? Why do you care about the # 4? Early development? Sony's priorites are all screwed up. they dont know if they are coming or going. How bout sony starts paying some devs and try not losing another exclusive. Capcom and Namco. To start building a ps4 now is like trying to make a baby when the guy is gay.

No I'm not Japanese, but I have read about PS4 and its development over at PS3 Forums! Alot of Japanese guys said that Sony will never use the #4 because it represents bad luck or something!
As for development, yeah Sony is doing it! But it doesn't meen that the next Playstation will hit store shelves anytime soon. Sony has it slated for 2010-2012.
Maybe if MS spend that much time in development you wouldn't have so many defective 360's!

Now I'm not a Sony fanboy or an MS fanboy! I'm a "gamer" I like all systems! But I have been through 4 360's! So I have given up on the 360, like alot of gamers! U can believe all the bull u want about that 3% failure rate MS claims, but so many people have had multiple 360 failures, and apparently going through 3,4,5 or even 6 360's isn't rare! Thats why this gen I'm now PS3 and Wii exclusive!

Gee you must be harsh on your consoles Fire, i'm still on my first (launch day) 360 and never had a problem at all with it. Maybe im just lucky or maybe your just full of it?
Anyhow the next Xbox is also under way and has been for quite a while. ALL console makers start designing their next machines as soon as possible maybe even before they released their latest. The specs change as newer tech. comes out but the consoles are on the drawing boards as we speak.  I say that we are all winners because more competition means better products and more asskicking games and systems. i cant wait for xbox 10 and playstation 13. Wii gotta change the name its soo lamo. good console though (for kiddies) too gimmicky and tiny library of games for me to get into.

srgpaul: Sorry but I'm not full of it, I have been through 4 360's, and believe it or not I don't realy have a problem with MS except for those 4 360's. I got one at launch as well, it lasted about 3 weeks, shrugged it off, at the time I heard about some small problems, called MS got a box sent it in, 7 days later got a refurbished one back, it wouldn't even power up! Called MS, waited for another box, nothing came, then they gave me something about "we can't process that right now" call back that lasted 1 week! Finaly was told to expect a box again, still nothing comes so I call MS, "we have no record of your repair sir!" finaly gets straightened out get another unit, that lasted about 4 weeks, got the Rings. By this time I'm just steaming mad, basicaly because i have to go through the repair crap again. Well I got the royal treatment from MS after that, appologies galore,and all that crap, they send me a new one! Guess what it lasted about 15hrs!
At this point I'm so pissed off! I say screw it, all I want is my money back, and when MS gets this Rings thing straightened out I'll buy a new one! But then MS starts bitching and accusing me of busting the consoles, and refuses to give me a refund.
So taking advice from others, I lodged a complaint with the better buisness bureau, then all of a sudden I got a cheque from MS.
At this point how do u think I feel about MS & the 360? How would u feel? And don't accuse me of being a PS3 fanboy, I've owned so many consoles since I was a kid! I even owned the original xbox, and purchased an extra one for my nephew!
But now my gaming dollars will go to Sony & Nintendo, I've never been let down by them.

My only hope is that if/when the PS4 is released, its input device(s) will be a lot more innovative than what everyone's become used to as the standard controller.  Up until the release of the Wii, pretty much every major console's input device has been an improvement on the form of controller popularized by the 8-bit NES.  Each subsequent console just added more buttons or analog control.  Non-gamers don't even wanna try videogames nowadays cuz the controllers have so many buttons.  Is pressing a bunch of buttons on a familiarly laid-out interface really the best way all game genres can be experienced?  I doubt it, and its apparent when u look at how keyboard/mousers have an advantage over controller users when it comes to FPS games.  Pointing and clicking is just far more efficient. 

But it's a big risk for console developers to change how users interact w/ games, so they stick w/ a solution that's been proven to be adequate instead of actually trying to innovate to create something better.  Weak.  Pressing a button to throw a grenade or swing a sword is so 20th-century.  I wanna be able to act it out.  I want force feedback.  I wanna be able to invoke a magic spell by saying something specific.

Improvements in control devices and user interfaces have taken a back seat to improvements in graphics, AI, audio, and social interaction when it comes to videogames.  If the only thing that nextgen consoles offer me is better graphics, I'll be content w/ my currentgen consoles and reminisce about when videogaming was all about gameplay and improving the user experience.

It's nice to see that all the morons from the Xbox.com forums have flocked over here. That's why I wanted to find a new gaming website to post at. I started to hate posting at Xbox.com, and this is why.

Sony made it quite clear they would make a PS4 and beyond when they released the ps2 and its commercial 'PS9'

i went through 3 360's and then got sick of Ms and stuck to ps3 and wii so i believe you firewire and im not a fanboy of anything either because i buy whatever system ammuses me but there will defitnally be a ps4

First poster, get off of the happy pills or time travle back to 2007, PS4 is happerning, Sony said so, chill out all here, I've had 1 360 from launch and never had a problem, maybe you should consider taking care of you're consoles..........
