    its not that its "hard" its just the checkpoints are few and far between, and when you get killed, which is often, you have to regame for another 30-45 minutes just to get killed in the exact same place again.

    Status: offline     		contra shattered soldier for the ps2 on normal. Needed perfect on everything to pass. Havent beat it yet. Getting hit once hurts score badly....

    Status: offline     		When I was younger and very inexperianced in FPS games, unlocking all the cheats for Goldeneye 007 was very hard for me.

    Status: offline     		Ecco the Dolphin for the Dreamcast. The areas for each stage are very large and there are no maps that indicate where you are or need to go.

    Status: offline     		Over-G Fighters, because at the time this was the only flight sim on the 360 and I really wanted this game to be good. The only problem was that you're 30-40mins into the game and then out of the blue usually with no warning at all, a missile hits you and you have to start again from begining of the level! If only they knew about something called Checkpoints!

    Status: offline     		The hardest game I've ever played. RE4, not because the game was difficult, but because the controls were some of the worst ever in a game. Playing the game after playing gears of war is not a good idea..

    and airwolf for the spectrum the dev's that made the game ran out of money so instead of finishing the game they made a section that was impossible to get past and just released the game.

    Silver Surfer ranks number 1 on my list as well.  A close number 2 for me is Spiderman/Venom: Maximum Carnage. I have owned this game for 14 years and still have not been able to beat it.

    Status: offline     		Before a couple years ago, my most difficult games were Double Dragon II and Castlevania II Simon's Quest.  I went back and was FINALLY able to beat DDII, although the ending pist me off ; and I still have yet to finish Simon's Quest.  It is the one black stain in my life that I cannot get rid of, until I beat it
