Never really played the SOCOM games, yes let the flaming begin, but I don't think this one looks too graphically pleasing for this Next-gen of games...At least some of the screens I have seen look like higher res pics of ps2 games.

But I will try out the beta, and demo hopefully, and I might buy it if im still not into battlefield bad company.

I think it looks...alright. PS3 can do better imo. If they make socom fans happy, it will be a success.

The sad truth is MGO looks better than Socom right now, hell maybe CoD 4 looks better too. There are way too many low res textures all over the place. But then again, this is a 32 player game so there are less memory to go around. Socom isn't about looks anyways, this one is all about the gameplay. This will be my first Socom game and I'm curious to see what's all the buzz is about.

As a Socom 2 and 3 veteran, who's been playing the series since 03' *That was my second online game*, us socom fans have never been about graphics, and trust me, if this is a sucess, this will rack in HUGE playstation 3 units in America and Europe, I mean like mgs did for japan and third world countries, ebcause there's pc gamers, 360 gamers, wii gamers, psp gamers, and ds gamers who all seperated from the playstation brand after the ps2 era was over, but if this games a sucess it will be the biggest most populated psnetwork title and will just equal even more sucess for socom...

Socom fans have been dieing for a sucessfully fun socom after socom 3 came out, now with lag fixing *They have dedicated servers*, sticking to socom roots, improved graphics and levels, spu tapped into for physics/hit/bullet detection, this game will be everything us socom gamers want....this game was actually the one defining reason I wanted a ps3, or else I would've gotten a 360, for some of us this game tided us into our ps3 purchase, socom has the most hardcore and fun communioty out there, think of it as PS3's Halo or Counter Strike, in terms of how much support, how harcore the players are, the community, this game can't flop, I've seen the videos...

Also, us socom fans don't care if it looks like a ps1 game, if the gameplays there, we'll still get it, Socoms always been out gameplay, causals and hardcore players alike, anyone whos never played a socom game before I'd say this is your socom to pick up and try, it looks promising...

Also, I don't know about you, but the graphics are so smooth looking and are absolutely amazing to me, I love the visual style so much...

Yh I think it looks great too, the lighting is nice and animations are smooth. It isnt the prettiest game on PS3 but it is definitely the prettiest 32 player game on the consoles. I cant wait for it, I havent played previous titles but I think I will love this game. I really want to join a clan though. anyone interested ?

I biggest concern with Socom is the special forces system. Just because a bunch of smacktards form a clan they get to play dress up as a  Navy Seal and have access to unit specific weapons while I'm stuck playing as a generic grunt? Thats totally BS.

It looks kinda like a third-person version of Counter Strike, but on the PS3. I'll be checking it out.

If it is like Socom 2 which they been saying it would look like.  I will buy it the first day.  But if its is Socom 3 and above.  Socom 2 was one of the best ps2 games i played the online made everything.  I was able to play that game for countless hours.

I know it will be very good. You can tell by the previews and videos of it that it will not be a flop, especially with the big amount of  hardcore  fans.I really want it now.

It looks interesting, I just hope they could implement a first person type view, sort of like what MGO has, because sometimes I prefer that, but I have never played the SOCOM games, so I wouldnt know. I might rent it then decide on buying it, or ill play the beta/demo if they have one and see if I like it.

Im skipping on socom:c. Im waiting for a true next gen socomgame. This looks like a cheap ghost recon rip off.

Graw 2 looks much better and it was out a long time ago.

A cheap GRAW rip-off?  I dont think so.  Last i remember SOCOM has been around quite a bit longer than graw... if you are going to call it a ripoff than try to say what it took from graw.  and comparing a 32 player online game to a singleplayer screenshot isnst really fair... i realise socom doesnt look great but its not terrible.

I realize that ghost recon has better graphics, im just saying a 32 player mulitplayer game over PSN thats mostly focused on gameplay and not graphics shouldnt have graphics as good as a game like GRAW.  im sure in terms of gameplay, socom will completely destroy GRAW.  remember, this is just an opinion since i havnt played socom yet.
